Yeerongpilly is a railway station on the Beenleigh line. It was also the last station at which you could change trains to travel on the Corinda line, which is now closed.[1]
The footbridge extension extends the current footbridge over Fairfield Road to provide easy access to the station. The footbridge extension was originally to be delivered with the Queensland Tennis Centre in 2007, but was pulled.[3] The construction started 8 July 2010 and was completed and opened to the public on 29 December 2010 in time for the 2011 Brisbane International.[4]
